Allu Arjun, Pushpa 2 team announce 2 crore aid to Sandhya Theatre stampede victim

Veteran producer Allu Aravind, accompanied by Telangana FDC chairman Dil Raju, announced financial aid of ₹2 crores for the eight-year-old boy injured during the tragic Sandhya Theatre stampede on December 4. The incident, occurring during the premiere of Allu Arjun's "Pushpa 2," claimed the life of the boy's 35-year-old mother.

The financial package comprises ₹1 crore from actor Allu Arjun, ₹50 lakh from Mythri Movie Makers, and ₹50 lakh from the film's director Sukumar. The aid will be disbursed through the Telangana Film Development Corporation (FDC). Addressing the media, Allu Aravind expressed relief at the boy's improving health. “Sri Teja is recovering and is no longer on a ventilator. We are committed to supporting him and his family in this tough time,” Aravind said.

Allu Arjun, who faces charges related to the incident, was questioned by police on Tuesday regarding his involvement. While Arjun has extended financial support to the victim's family, he continues to cooperate with the investigation.

Sri Teja’s father, Bhaskar, confirmed his son’s condition is improving but stated full recovery will take time. Doctors revealed that while the boy has stable vital signs and can respond to verbal stimuli, he has yet to regain full cognitive awareness or recognize family members.

Producer Dil Raju announced a planned meeting with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and other prominent industry members to address safety measures for future events. He emphasized the industry's united front in supporting the affected family.

The family received ₹10 lakh from Allu Arjun shortly after the tragedy. Despite this, Bhaskar clarified that there was no pressure to withdraw the complaint. The hospital reiterated that Sri Teja’s condition remains stable but highlighted the need for ongoing care and rehabilitation.
